Join James Muir and Kody Bateman as they discuss how to turn your dysfunctional closing techniques into functional by making the “complex” simple for achieving the perfect close…
Building Authentic Relationships
First off, this show is all about relationships and relationship marketing, and not the “sale” or “closing the deal.” However, James Muir, for all intents and purposes, along with his book ‘The Perfect Close’ appears to be all about closing business!
To clarify, although James’ book is all about the perfect close, it’s really about how building genuine relationships increases sales closings and commissions.
“It all starts and ends with authentic relationships” ~James Muir~
Today, now more than ever, it’s all about intent, and a prospect can feel your authenticity or intent; smelling commission breath from a mile away!
Gone are the days of being super polished and cool with all the closing techniques. Consequently, there has been a massive shift to where those techniques have become dysfunctional and don’t work anymore because it is more and more about relationships.
“Intent matters more than technique” ~James Muir~
Think of your technique as either being interesting or interested; Indeed, one is more authentic than the other!
Interesting is, showing tactics and stuff you know, and the opposite of interested which is showing interest in the other person and their needs.
That is to say; you can be all about technique in closing sales but your intent is so much more important!

Most of all, stay in the spirit of serving people, and I thank you for your participation on this blog week after week!
Take care,
Kody B.
